Wedding can be so exciting to look forward to, and plan. They can also be very stressful, confusing and expensive… Honestly it is so easy to get caught up in the wedding, you may forget it is really about the Sacrament of Marriage and rest of your lives together in the Lord!
From the church side we will try to make this as simple as possible, but it too can be a bit complex. There are quite a few requirements and regulations to get married in the Catholic Church, some of them universal and some for each particular church.
A man and a women and at least one of them has to be a Baptized Catholic.
If you fulfill the requriment above, here at this parish make a distinction between those who are members and those who are not members.
Members are actively participating in the life of our parish community, attending services here, and offering time, talent and treasure for the common good of the parish and are registered in our database. You are welcome to have one of the parish clergy celebrate your weddings, or they may ask an outside member of the clergy. I am a member and would like to schedule our wedding - click here.
Non-members are not participating in the life of this parish community and are not registered in our database... We will make the kind presumption that you are active and participating in the life of another parish community. We can still most likely accommodate you, but you must arrange for their own Catholic clergy to perform the service and it will cost a little bit more than if you were an active memeber. I am not a member and would like to schedule our wedding - click here.
